Thanks for that link Jeffrey, pretty nice job. I've been using Photomatix for 10+ years, and I'm looking forward to any features in version 6 that make it even better for producing realisitic images. However I agree, HDRSoft may have left it too late to come to market with a new version that is going to blow it's competitors, and there are many of them, out of the water. When I do use PhotoMatixMatix it's normally the Contrast Optimiser. I don't use Adobe products any more but I can tease the Dynamic Range out of my camera's RAW files without using HDR. Can you tell I am disappointed in Photomatix? I am. If they don't show anything brilliant in this long over-due release then that will be the end of them. Even Lightroom's Highlight and Shadow recover sliders can take a normally exposed RAW file and produce dynamic range as if you took bracketed exposures of 0+2-2. Do they say what new features might be included in this release? I haven't upgraded since 4 point something, a few years ago. Say It With A Camera: I haven't been following Photomatix for some years. They also mentioned about a Private Beta, followed by a Public Beta. There have been a couple of posts on the PhotoMatix FB page about two of the new features of PhotoMatix 6.
